One of our Directors (Dr. Cathy Carter-Snell) has received numerous research grants and has won national and international awards for both teaching and research. Her work is mainly in the area of prevention of consequences of violence and early effective intervention but she has also conducted research in other areas such as disaster and critical incident stress. Her clinical background is extensively in trauma care, particularly Emergency and in sexual assault and intimate partner violence.
She has held a number of leadership and management positions in health care and has experience in workload measurement, quality improvement, leadership and adult education strategies.
One of the main products offered through Snell Consulting Inc is education for forensic professionals working with victims of violence (e.g. nurses, police, physicians, social workers). She provides a series of online resources through forensiceducation.ca which is a subsidiary of Snell Consulting.
